Hey there! My name is Jordan, I’m your typical college-aged girl who loves dogs, has a caffeine addiction, and procrastinates everything.
Oh yeah, and I have Crohn’s Disease.
According to the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation, Crohn’s Disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract. Aka my digestive system sucks at digesting things.
The purpose of this blog is to give a perspective on what it’s like to live with Crohn’s as a young adult. It’s to remove the stigma around this invisible disease. It’s to help the other young people who are diagnosed with this disease know that they aren’t alone, despite how isolating it can be.
I see you. I recognize the jokes you make about this disease to fit in. I understand the fear you have to go out and live life to the fullest. I get it.
So, come along on this journey with me as I begin my treatment and hopefully go into remission.
And brace yourself for some potty humor.
